What is an Energetic Activation?
Our bodies, and every fibre of our being, are made up of energy. We are living and breathing energetic hubs with infinite potential available to unlock. An Energetic Activation is the process of us stepping into that energy field, listening to it, expanding with it, and potentially awakening a higher wisdom within us to better fulfil our lives.
You can liken your energy to any other relationship you might have in your life. If you are unfamiliar with it, tapping into it at first might feel strange, foreign and unfamiliar. As you get more acquainted with how your energy feels, & build a stronger bond over time with yourself, your energy reveals more of itself to you, as you slowly break down the subconscious barriers and blockages you have accumulated through life. Deep trust is an important part of this work. With time, patience and intention, you can learn and grow tremendously from allowing yourself to step into this energy more frequently.
In a session, your facilitator opens the space by activating their own energetic field, which in turn creates a field for the room to self activate. It’s important to note that this is purely YOUR own life force energy, and there is no external force being called upon in any AA session. It is through the intention of all participants in the room that our intelligent energy intuitively knows to initiate this incredible process. There is nothing you need to do, (aside from the breathwork component), except lay on your mat and aim to be as relaxed as you can. Your energy will know what to do.
This concept is not new. It is rooted in many cultures and traditions, many of them dating back centuries. There is also science behind what is happening in our brains during an activation. The change in energetic frequency impacts our brain waves to slow down, thus the way our subconscious mind communicates with us shifts, and our body responds in new ways to our environment. The more frequently we can enter these natural, deeper states of consciousness, the more valuable insights we can gather about how to best lead our lives, what direction to take, and how to deal with our current circumstances.
I’ve seen people’s bodies moving crazily on Instagram, what does that mean? Will that happen to me?
Bodily movements are one of the endless ways our energy might choose to express itself in a session. We are all unique individuals, and each of us will experience the energy from our own perspectives, depending on where we are at.
Your sensitivity to movement in a session might be influenced if you regularly practice any other healing modalities (eg. meditation, reiki), your health and lifestyle choices, your emotional state, subconscious beliefs, however sensitivity can also be completely random, so it is best to come in without expectations.
Some individuals experience movement in their first session, for a good portion of people it might take 5-6 sessions to feel these sensations in the body.
Spontaneous movement for many people never occurs at all. However, a range of other changes and benefits often occur for these individuals. Movement is not the sole indicator of an impactful session, and is just one of many potential outcomes. Your energy will only ever provide you with an experience you are ready for.
What are the benefits?
Heightened intuition - As you spend more time in your energy, your energy learns to work with you. Your perception of your surroundings and of others might change.
Tapping into trapped or blocked emotions and helping them pass through safely. These emotions can be heavy at times, but can then lead to feelings of relief and consolation afterwards. Emotions of joy and clarity are also very common.
Addressing past traumas in a safe space and allowing yourself to work through these complicated feelings, receive inner guidance, and begin to heal.
A stronger sense of personal boundaries. As you learn to listen to yourself and your energy more, your standards of what you deserve and can achieve in life heightens. The fog begins to clear, and a vision of what you need to change in your life becomes apparent.
Increased desire to take care of yourself - you may feel a stronger pull to lead a healthier lifestyle, eat more nutritious foods, socialise with positively driven individuals, move your body more, reduce your stress load by working less or even changing careers to do so.. The drive to transform into a more conscious version of yourself can manifest itself in many different ways.
Stress relief as you begin to peel away layers of emotional and energetic blockages. You also start to understand what’s truly important to you, and let go of things that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things.
Better sleep due to your brain waves entering slower, more calm frequencies that promote rest and recovery.

What will I feel after a session?
From experience, every session is completely different and how you feel can differ depending on the current stage of life you are in. This can be impacted by a range of reasons such as how much sleep you’ve had, what you’ve been eating, how stressed you are, how much you have on your mind, menstrual cycles, how nervous you might be feeling entering a class or your subconscious beliefs about the modality itself. These feelings can change from day to day and it is important to understand the fluid nature of our emotions over time.
Some common post-session feelings include:
Feeling like a load has been lifted - light, free and joyous.
Emotional and still processing. Sometimes revelations can come to you within a session and still need time to sink in. It is important to take time to integrate after a session and be kind to yourself while you unpack your experience.
A sense of drive to make a change in your life and act upon your purpose
Physically still activated - sometimes the session ends and you might still feel activated in your body. Spontaneous movements and twitches in the days after the session can also occur.
Numbness. Perhaps you found it hard to feel anything at all. This is also a normal response and could just be indicative of where you were at that day. Your energy is wiser than you know, and is always working in ways we might not be able to intellectualise or feel.
Ah ha! Moments in the following days/weeks after your session. The energetic activation doesn’t end after our session. Once you tap in to your energy, the dots can start to come together for you in your life outside of the class. Coincidences, breakthroughs, new encounters and intriguing rendezvous may cross your path that could correlate with visualisations or thoughts you had in your session. Be observant and journal your experience!
What style of Breathwork do you teach in the class?
Our classes aim to activate your energetic body through regulating your nervous system, so we will tap into various breathing techniques to achieve this.
Generally, we will commence with slower breaths with longer exhales, and box breathing to get you out of your mind and into your body. The speed and intensity of the breath will then start to increase to rounds of hyperventilation, with different lengths of breath holding. This is all guided and under strict supervision. The hyperventilation can be quite activating and participants might also feel physical symptoms such as a change in body temperature (hot or cold), tetany in the hands (a temporary involuntary muscle contraction) or shakes and trembles. When a participant begins breathing normally again, these symptoms begin to subside.
In this altered physical state, a whole range of emotional and spiritual experiences can occur.
Who is this work NOT suitable for?
Activation Avenue classes are not suitable for the following individuals:
Individuals who are prone to severe mental health conditions such as mania, delusion, schizophrenia, psychosis or any other serious mental health condition.
Individuals who have ever been hospitalised for any psychiatric condition, emotional crisis or spiritual emergence.
Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy.
Individuals on any heavy medication.
Individuals under the influence or alcohol or recreational drugs.
Severe asthmatics
Can I book a Private or Corporate Group Session?
Absolutely!
We are very flexible here at Activation Avenue and would love to cater to your needs. We are able to tailor an experience to your personal desires.
Private 1:1 Sessions are available either online or in person at our head facilitator Jess’ residence in Leichhardt, Sydney.
Corporate Group sessions are also an incredible tool to help your team de-stress and recalibrate. We can visit your workplace and host our events in the comfort of your workspace.

Can I book an Online Session? How does it work?
Yes!
This modality is equally as effective online as it is in person. In fact, for many individuals, online can be more effective as the limiting beliefs, fears and concerns about being in a room with other people experiencing quite a vulnerable phenomenon are removed from the picture.
Energy is not bound to time or space, and I can effectively initiate the transmission from afar. Online sessions are run via a video call, where you can be in the comfort of your own home, either on your bed or on a yoga mat. All that is required is sufficient lighting so that I can see you on the screen, and that you can be distraction free for the duration of the session.
